The basics of Discover Scuba Diving, also known as DSD, is an introductory scuba diving experience that is designed for individuals who have little or no prior scuba diving experience. The purpose of DSD is to provide an opportunity for individuals to experience scuba diving in a safe and controlled environment before committing to a full scuba diving course. During DSD, participants are introduced to the basic principles of scuba diving, including equipment use and safety procedures. The equipment used in DSD includes a scuba tank, regulator, buoyancy compensator, and wetsuit.
